Village Officer Evanton and Kiltearn (Part Time)
20 hours per week - £12.60 per hour.
ILM Highland, in partnership with Kiltearn Community Council, is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and conscientious Village Officer to help maintain and improve the environment in the Evanton and Kiltearn communities.

A862 Ardullie to Dingwall Road Closure
Concerns over closure of the major road connection between the A9 at Ardullie roundabout and Dingwall has resulted in an urgent meeting at Evanton Jubilee Hall. There are many affected road users near and far that such a meeting has been called. It is expected to take up to 3 months to complete and it is cosidered locally that the using the Old Evanton road above will also be subjuct to disruptions for the same period. This road is cosidered locally to be totally unsafe and unsuitable for the expected traffic.

Ardullie to Dingwall Road ClosureList Item 3
Concerns over over possible traffic diversion will increase close to Evanton School. KCC have asked for the risk assessments and posed the question of safety to HC and will review once we have received these replies. It will be discussed at June 10th meeting.

Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks are holding a public consultation exhibition on their proposals to provide 132kv connections for the Abhainn Dubh Wind Farm.

Supporting Funds from AGE Scotland
Evanton Wood Community Company bought the 150-acre (65-hectare) wood in 2012
to benefit the local and wider community and to preserve and enhance the woodland
biodiversity. The sessions for people living with dementia have been running for 9 years,
with support from a wide range of funders. In 2019 the woodland received an accolade from
Paths for All as the first dementia friendly woodland in Scotland.
Those interested in taking part in the sessions, which are free of charge, and which
include fresh soup and refreshments, are encouraged to make contact. There is information
