A Letter to Evanton Online/Newsletter.

I am reaching out to folks to find out who would like to contribute to a book I would like to put together (this will take quite a while, maybe a year or two but I would like to start gathering stories etc now) I have a collection of bags, cushions, bookmarks, etc which I make dedicated to Fyrish, it is called 'For the Love of Fyrish' and I would like to put a book together with the same name
I am looking to hear your stories which involve Fyrish- it can be anything from happy childhood memories, to the story of a marriage proposal, a wedding, a story about your granny or granddad involving Fyrish, maybe one of your ancestors was involved in the building of the monument and this story has been passed down the generations in your family? Maybe going up Fyrish helped you cope with bereavement or a health issue? Maybe Fyrish offered you a place to go for sporting achievements? Maybe going up there helped you cope with a break-up/break-down even? Maybe Fyrish is a place you remember loved ones who are no longer here and you would like to talk about that?
I am looking for stories, poems, old photos, and art work, anything that would fit in with this theme. I understand some folks might think certain stories are too personal and may not want to share but I just think that this kind of publication does not exist from former generations and the monument has been here for so long, this is a way of passing on stories now from our generations to the next ones....stories from all welcome, from the very young to the very old. This is just a way of keeping these memories of loved ones and different days alive
Please email me  fortheloveoffyrish@outlook.com  or I can be contacted on 01349 830716         Fiona Stephenson, Evanton.
